in the late 2010s i was involved in the publishing of a small group of websites referred to as the 220 Club websites. The websites were done with the weebly website builder. They were intended to support and inspire small business people who were getting hammered to smithereens by unchecked Corporations and Governments in the west. They eventually grew into a collection of sites that were not only good for small business people but also for anyone "hoping" to grow into their own household someday -- that was an act taken for granted that had become a pipe dream of its own by the time COVID hit in early 2020. During COVID, the 220 club websites got built out with a large emphasis placed on Technology Literacy and the development of baseline google sheet based software systems for small business and personal use -- that we realized could double as the foundation for entirely new platforms for modern commercial and technology education. The Weebly system was good for displaying inspirational thoughts and images of sites and it was easy to post links to google docs for resourcdes, but the inability o drag and drop images into the system (even though they suggest you can) and more importanltly the inaabilty to use a screen snipping software and then paste that straight into the website became a huge differentiating factor for time management. when compared to google sites. And now that Google has added text blocks in google docs to hold javascript formatting, it seems like it's time to try to build out far more robust technical resourrces for education and small software system use that is NOT Software As a Service. I will use this site to 1) make a backup of the material on the DIY Software Clube Weebly website b/c it needs a backup spot and 2) attempt to bulid this out as a technical resource without as much of the inspirational focus that that site containes (although it may be put in the backup section as it is too).
